BODY OF SENIOR ADVOCATES OF NIGERIA BACKS MAHMOUD FOR CALL ON ARRESTED JUDGES TO RECUSE


The Body of Senior Advocates of Nigeria has thrown it's weight behind the call by the NBA President on the Arrested judges to proceed on leave of absence pending when they are given a clean bill of heath.The Body met in Lagos today to endorse every action taken by the NBA President Abubakar Balarabe Mahmud SAN so far on the unfortunate incident.

The meeting was attended by the Honourable Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice as well as  the NBA President. Also in attendance was JK GADZAMA,SAN who met with Mahmoud for the first time since the later assumed office as the 28th President of the Nigerian Bar Association. The Body reiterated it's support for the NBA in its efforts to fight corruption in the Judiciary.

This is due to non-availability of materials (which are imported) by the stamps producer. The secretariat is aware of the fact that some members have gone ahead to pay directly into the NBA account dedicated for the registration fees for the 2017 Annual Conference. Members should kindly note that registration for the 2017 Annual Conference MUST be done online and cash payments will no longer be accepted except for group registration.
