INTRODUCTION I welcome you all to this NBA Press conference to mark the 2017 Democracy Day in Nigeria. Today marks 18 years since the return to democratic governance and of continued uninterrupted civil rule in our Country. This is by no means a great achievement in continent previously, and indeed still in many parts, marked by strife and instability. The journey to democracy is often long and tedious. THE NBA PRESIDENT CHARGES CHARGES NIGERIAN YOUTHS ON LEADERSHIP

The President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Abubakar Balarabe Mahmoud, OON, SAN, has charged Nigerian Youths to brace up for leadership in the Country. This he emphasised when he received the Speaker and members of the Nigerian Youth Parliament (NYP), who paid him a courtesy visit in his office, at the NBA National Secretariat, Abuja. In attendance with the NBA President at this occasion were the General Secretary of the NBA; Mr. Isiaka Abiola Olagunju, the Chief of Staff to the NBA President; Mr. Muritala Abdul-Rasheed, the Executive Director of the NBA; Mrs. Ifueko Alufohai and other Senior NBA Executives.
